Biography
I was raised in central Massachusetts, far from the excitement of any major city, so hobbies filled my time. My first camera was a Canon FT-QL, bought for me by my Dad at a flea market. From then on I had the desire to capture the places I go and the things I see (even though I have since become a dedicated Nikon user). Being a lifelong sports player (soccer, hockey) I have a keen eye for play development and know where the action can be slowed down with several clicks.
Under the persona of DJC53, I purchased my first turntables in 2001 and I have been making music ever since. You could describe my sound as somewhere between hip-hop and lo-fi with drums driving the melodies.
Creativity and art have always been my passions and I love combining photography with video, music, and design. Production has become more than just a hobby. Always learning, always practicing, I strive for perfection in my work, but I still remember to see things outside of the viewfinder.
